A typical wheel loader’s lift arms come up directly in front of the machine, which obstructs the operator’s forward view, making it difficult to handle, lift, and place pipes safely and efficiently.

The Cary-Lift, on the other hand, was designed with precision loading and safety in mind—and uniquely offers overhead lift arms that mount behind the cab to give the operator an unobstructed, 180-degree view.

Typical wheel loaders can lose up to 50% of their rated load capacity when turning while carrying a pipe, resulting in time-consuming, inefficient multiple-point turns or, worse—tipping over.

When it comes to carrying pipes, the Cary-Lift has the superior strength and stability needed to move safely and quickly. Instead of an articulating joint, this machine has a heavy-duty, solid steel frame that can take full loads into sharp turns without sacrificing any load capacity or stability. Its short wheelbase provides a tight turning radius while maintaining capacity, and a wider lift arm stance further improves stability.

The Pettibone Cary-Lift removes the need to place workers in dangerous situations, so a single machine operator can empty a car without ever having to put someone inside.

Unlike alternative wheel loaders and pipe handlers that often require workers to physically climb down inside the car to secure the pipe before it can be moved, operators of the Pettibone Cary-Lift can omit that risk when handling tasks like unloading railroad gondola cars and similar hazardous situations.
